Prof. Meybohm & Prof. Zacharowski presenting on the 7th Patient Safety, Science & Technology Summit in the USA

The 7th Patient Safety, Science & Technology Summit of the Patient Safety Movement was convened in Huntington Beach (California, USA) on January 18th and 19th. The overall of the Patient Safety Movement is to minimize preventable deaths wherever possible. This year’s summit was co-convened by the American Society of Anesthesiologists and the European Society of Anaesthesiology. Prof. Meybohm & Prof. Zacharowski were both invited to give a talk. In his role as president of the European Society of Anaesthesiology, Prof. Zacharowski presented a keynote on anesthesiology in general. Additional keynotes were, for instance, presented by former president Bill Clinton.

In his talk, Prof. Meybohm emphasizes the potential of Patient Blood Management to reduce the rates preventable deaths, while inviting everyone who is interested to join the World PBM Network.
