Overview
This study investigates the implementation of Patient Blood Management (PBM) in clinical practice in hospitals worldwide. The study is designed as a prospective, international observational study; therefore, no interventions will be conducted. Additional information can be found here.
Objective
We will collect data on PBM implementation in hospitals worldwide in order to gain insights into current practices and unveil potential for improvement. Perspectively, this should lead to establishing and improving PBM as a central strategy in these hospitals, thereby contributing to patient safety.
Participation
Any hospital worldwide can participate completely free of charge and determine the status of implementation of the PBM measures defined in the PBM Network.
