This study investigates the implementation of Patient Blood Management (PBM) in clinical practice in hospitals worldwide.<\/span><\/span> The study is designed as a prospective, international observational study; therefore, no interventions will be conducted. Additional information can be found here<\/a>.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Objective <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/h5>\n

We will collect data on PBM implementation in hospitals worldwide in order to gain insights into current practices and unveil potential for improvement.<\/span><\/span> Perspectively, this should lead to establishing and improving PBM as a central strategy in these hospitals, thereby contributing to patient safety.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Participation <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/h5>\n

Any hospital worldwide can participate completely free of charge and determine the status of implementation of the PBM measures defined in the PBM Network.<\/span><\/span> The corresponding PBM level (Bronze, Silver, Gold, etc.) will then be calculated based on the model shown below.<\/span><\/span> Simply fill out the self-evaluation form<\/a> and send it back signed to: patientbloodmanagement@unimedizin-ffm.de<\/a>.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n
